Data Escrow Policy

Data Escrow Policy

The journal "Statistics of Ukraine" supports the principles of open science and encourages transparency and reproducibility of research results through responsible dissemination of research data.

Authors are encouraged to deposit the data underlying the published results in recognized international or industry repositories.

Repository selection

Magazine:

  • supports the use of international and nationalrepositories registered in the re3data registry (https://www.re3data.org/);
  • does not limit authors in choosing a specificrepository, allowing the use of industry, institutional or universal repositories that comply with FAIR principles;
  • recommends assigning permanent identifiers (e.g.,DOI) to datasets.

Data Accessibility Statement

Authors are encouraged to include a Data Availability Statement in the manuscript, stating:

  • data storage location;
  • conditions of access to them;
  • possible access restrictions.

It is advisable to provide active links to deposited datasets in the text of the article or metadata.

Data validation

If necessary, the editorial board may request access to primary research data during peer review or editorial review in order to verify the reliability and correctness of the results obtained.

Such requests are made in compliance with confidentiality and ethical standards.

Access restrictions

The journal recognizes that in certain cases (legal, ethical, confidential, commercial, or security constraints) full disclosure of data may not be possible.

In such cases, authors must provide a reasoned explanation in the data availability statement.

Articles are placed in an open institutional repository (National Academy of Statistics, Accounting and Auditing)
